I would like to say how excited I am to be a part of the LCA and the LAMFC.  The past months have demonstrated the importance of this association and its subsequent divisions related to the legislative issues we have faced.  I am looking forward to being the President of the LAMFC for the next year.  I am in private practice in Arcadia, LA, I also am a pastor. I am presently serve as the American Red Cross Mental Health Liaison in Louisiana.

  Our yearly business meeting was held at the Hilton during the LCA Conference. During this meeting our financial report was reviewed and our budget for the year was approved.  We had an excellent turn out for this meeting.  Our guest speaker was Dr. Kathy Steele from New Orleans.  Dr. Steele spoke on Contemporary Approaches to Marital and Premaritial Counseling.
